Anyway, where were we?

Rome was the last stop on our honeymoon in October. Now, we're back in Rome again, somewhat serendipitously, on our way to Cairo.

We live on Alix's old street from study abroad. We went back to our favorite Roman pasta place yesterday. We appreciate that crowds have thinned as the weather gets colder. 

Is this the vacation? Or was the other part the vacation, the in between part, and now we're back? A continuation of a dream sequence interrupted by reality. 

Yes, yes, I think that's right. Three months ago, we packed our bags in Rome and headed back to the states for a long vacation. We visited friends in New York. We had two wedding celebrations in California. We hiked Yosemite in winter. We saw many loved ones over the holidays and slept in a lot of guest bedrooms. And we lived out of a suitcase. As we still do. 

It was a great trip! Thanks America. But now we're back, ready to resume.
